A portion of the $150,000 worth of equipment that was donated went to King’s Academy

Family Fitness Health and Fitness Club in Sevierville closed its doors this past week to the surprise of many of its members. Manager Scott Hawn attributed the closing to a drastic increase in the clubs monthly rent. Most of the facility’s equipment was donated to area schools and charities including King’s Academy, the Boys and Girls Club and the Children’s Home in Sevierville. According to Hawn, about $150,000 worth of equipment was donated with about $70,000 going to King’s Academy.
School Head Master Walter Grubb stated, “We are very grateful for their generosity and kindness.”
