The Seymour Intermediate School held their Spring Fling Carnival this last Friday evening. The kids had a great time playing games and hopping around in Burger King’s giant Whopper. The fund-raiser went very well with many individuals and businesses donating items for the raffle and the silent auction. This year’s event sponsored a business fair with nearly a dozen businesses representing their firms. Papa’s John’s Pizza and drinks in the cafeteria was the finishing touch. It was a fun night for all. Many local politicians turned out for the event including Jeanette Ballard, Bill Oakes and Ray Godfrey. Local celebrity Dave Foulk emceed the auction along with Commissioner Bill Oakes. “It looked like a great turn out. Everyone seemed to be having a great time,” stated principal Greg Clark.
