Join Ijams for its annual bug extravaganza. The finale of the evening is a bug beauty contest, with prizes going to the people who find the prettiest, ugliest, largest and smallest bugs. Canoe Trip
Saturday, June 15 from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.
You’ll be surprised by how much you can see along the shores of the Tennessee River from a canoe. Join Ijams naturalists as they interpret the flora and fauna of land and water on this canoe trip. All equipment is provided. Program is for adults and children 8+ years accompanied by an adult. Cost is $10 per person for Ijams members and $15 per person for non-members. Music in the Park Summer Concert Series
Saturday, June 15 from 6 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Join us for our second concert in this summer-long series. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair and head to the nature center to enjoy live music in a beautiful outdoor setting. This month’s featured music is bluegrass with The Fiddle Band and The Dismembered Tennesseeans performing. Food and beverage vendors include Calhoun’s Microbrewery, Back Yard Burgers and Marble Slab Creamery. Reduce Reuse and Recycle Resale
Saturday, June 22 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
This is Ijams’ second annual rummage sale, and it’s going to be a good one. We’ll be selling used books, furniture, housewares, art, outdoor equipment and almost anything else you can think of. Come out and see what treasures you can find. If you’re trying to get rid of some treasures, we are also taking donations of items to be sold in the rummage sale (no clothes, please). You can drop off your donated items at the nature center the week of June 17, or you can call us and we’ll come pick them up! Smart Toys and
Books Bookfair
Saturday, June 22 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Join Ijams at Smart Toys and Books (9700 Kingston Pike) for an afternoon of fun and learning. Ijams naturalists and storytellers will be on hand at the top of every hour with animal presentations and nature-related stories. Alzheimer’s Support Group to Meet

Summer Swim Program
