Chaos isn’t usually a word any parent, grandparent or guardian wants to hear especially when it involves their children. However, the kind of chaos that is being referred to is a good kind-spelled K-a-o-s.
Total Kaos refers to a new nightclub opening in the Seymour Business Park for teenagers and young adults ages 13 – 20. The club, which features a DJ, non-alcoholic refreshments and today’s hottest music, will be the end all of boredom for area teens and is also one of the first of its kind in the area!
Let’s face it, our area teens need something to do, and if they find that something in a fun-yet controlled environment-the club will be doing the community a favor.
Summer days and hours of operation are tentatively set from Thursday through Saturday 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. The club’s policy states that certain ages will only be allowed on the premises for a specific amount of time. Teens 15 and under must leave by 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, and 11:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The 16 to 18 year olds will be asked to leave at 11:00 p.m. on Thursday and 12 midnight on weekends. The 19 and up age group is welcomed to stay until close at 2:00 a.m.
Special colored wristbands will be handed out at the door. Each color represents a different age group. As that age group’s “time” approaches, the club DJ will announce which wristband color must leave the premises.
The club is set in the new Seymour Business Park and promises to be a good time. DJ Jammer will be pumping out music until the club closes its doors at 2. Parents can rest easy knowing that medal detectors will be used, as well as strict enforcement of all club rules. If they are still leery they can check out the club for themselves.
Total Kaos is the only teen club of its kind, to our knowledge, in the Knox, Sevier, and Blount counties.
The best part about Total Kaos is that it opens this week! So check it out!
