Bob’s Mountaineer Restaurant has finally reopened its’ doors. After a long-awaited arrival, the sit-down eatery welcomed customers back into its’ home-cooked arms. Owner Bob Pritchard was busy making sure that all was well in the kitchen and ringing up customers. Seymour resident David Reynolds was glad to be back, “I was a regular customer. I am glad it’s back open.”
Apparently, Reynolds wasn’t the only one. The parking lot was full (of cars). One woman parked at Food City and walked over. Inside the restaurant every seat was taken with patrons munching on morning goodies. The rebuilt food bar looked delicious. Employee Karen Reynolds was busy stocking it with lunchtime goodness.
Bob’s Mountaineer burned down in the spring. Work crew delays made the re-opening move slower than it should have.
Seymour can certainly use the sit-down eatery, which was obvious with this morning’s turn out.
The Seymour Lions Club is expected to start meeting there every second and fourth Monday night at 6 p.m. Ray Valentine, President of the Seymour/Tri County Lions Club said, “We are very to excited to be back at Bob’s. We really enjoy the homey atmosphere and the food is good country cooking that we all love to eat.”
Bob’s Mountaineer is located on Chapman Hwy, next to Food City.
