Garfield® will celebrate his 25th birthday at Dollywood’s Kidz FunFest
Dollywood’s 2003 season is less than two months away, and this summer, Garfield® will celebrate his 25th birthday with Odie®, John and thousands of Dollywood visitors with a special presentation of his Garfield® Presents “Happy Birthday To Me” live stage show.  It’s all part of the South’s largest kids’ festival Dollywood’s Kidz FunFest, scheduled for June 20 – August 10.
Garfield is an example of the world-class entertainment Dollywood provides for families to enjoy together. The sarcastic cat appears in more newspapers across the country than any other syndicated comic strip.
Dolly’s also bringing family favorite VeggieTales® characters Bob the Tomato® and Larry the Cucumber® to the park. Fresh from launching their first major motion picture, “Jonah,” in theaters, and now on video, the popular duo will headline their own stage production show in Dollywood’s Showstreet Palace Theatre.
The summer-long festival will rev up the season with an ASA extreme sports show featuring a combination of stunt skateboarding, rollerblading, and BMX biking. Street performances, hands-on activities, and food made just for the young or young at heart will also highlight Dollywood’s Kidz FunFest.
The Kidz FunFest begins June 20 and ends August 10, and all of the festival’s activities are included in the price of a one-day Dollywood admission.
Dollywood will open for the 2003 season on Saturday, April 5 with its annual Grand Opening weekend, when Dolly Parton welcomes the world to the Smokies for the park’s 3rd Annual Festival of Nations.
