Owners, managers, and key staff of all area lodging and hospitality businesses attended the 2nd Annual Sevier County Hospitality Trade Show Thursday, March 13, at the Music Road Convention Center in Pigeon Forge. The trade show was a joint effort of the three area lodging associations: Pigeon Forge Hotel, Motel, & Lodging Association, Gatlinburg Lodging & Hospitality Association, and the Sevierville Lodging Association.
Approximately 100 vendors shared their products and services, which benefit such businesses as hotels, motels, cabin rental companies, campgrounds, bed and breakfast inns, and restaurants. The vendors represented businesses from such industries as communications, internet services, advertising, housekeeping and maintenance supplies, entertainment, food and beverage services, education and training, business services, and more. The Herald Newspapers was on hand to introduce the Smoky Mountain Herald premiering soon to the Sevier County area. For any hospitality business operator wanting to improve services and lower their operating costs, this is the trade show to attend.
The show was very well attended by area hospitality owners, managers, and key housekeeping, maintenance, front desk, and marketing staff. They found great deals and a lot of very helpful information to help them improve their operations and profitability.  There was delicious food and over $7,000 in great door prizes, including three $500 cash grand prizes.
“This was the biggest joint event the three area lodging associations do,” said Terrill Carter, president of the Pigeon Forge Hotel, Motel, & Lodging Association. “This is a great opportunity for lodging business operators. It’s important to stay on top of what options are available and be sure you’ve gotten the best value for the best price.  Everybody is really excited about it.”
