The Blount County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division (Fifth Judicial Drug Task Force), along with assistance from the Maryville Police Department, arrested four people Wednesday in a “buy bust” operation on McCammon Avenue.
Donnie Lee Lumpkin, 28, is charged with delivery of a Schedule IV controlled substance and Possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance with intent to resale. John Aaron Reynolds, 20, is charged with delivery of a Schedule IV controlled substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. William Bradley Willis, 28, was charged with Delivery of a Schedule IV controlled substance. Willard Jerome Willis, 39, is charged with Delivery of a Schedule IV controlled substance. All of the men are from Maryville.
An undercover officer purchased approximately 650 Xanax pills from the men. While in the final stages of the transaction, Maryville Police Department units responded and the four men were taken into custody.
The Xanax has an approximate street value of more than $1,000. Xanax is an anti-anxiety medication.
The four men are currently being held at the Blount County Detention Facility, and are scheduled for a hearing in General Sessions Court on the charges.
