Tennessee State Bank’s 2002 Staff Member of the Year is Sherry Byars. Employees are nominated for this award by their peers, and then selected by Senior Management. Mrs. Byars has worked at TSB for 10 years and has proven to be a loyal asset to the bank. Mrs. Byars manages the Credit Department, located at our Corporate Headquarters in Pigeon Forge. “Sherry plays a very important role at Tennessee State Bank,” says Todd Proffitt, President & CEO. “She is a dedicated employee who carries a large responsibility in managing the credit department. I am very proud of her.”
Sherry is a graduate of Iaeger High School in Iaeger, West Virginia. In addition she attended Southwest Virginia Community College in Lebanan, VA taking banking and management classes. She is currently working on Banking and Finance, Consumer and Commercial lending diplomas thru the American Institute of Banking.
Sherry is married to Bob Byars and they have 2 children; Ryan (11) and Brianna (6). Their family attends church at The Father’s House in Pigeon Forge. When not at work, Sherry enjoys spending time with her family attending ball games and playing board games.
