Friday afternoon downtown Sevierville was filled with the summer smell of burgers on the grill. Citizen’s National Bank was holding its 4th Annual hamburger luncheon to raise money for its team in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. Courthouse employees, lawyers, maintenance men, and secretaries provided a general mix of Sevier Countians who took lunch at the Courtyard Plaza. The CNB grill was manned by Joe Rimmer and Mark Davis who flipped the burgers in style while Julie Christensen, Whitney Ogle and Sonya Rollins staffed the serving line that made pick-up easy for those on the go.
The Citizen’s Bank team raised more money than any other in last year’s Relay for Life with $18,000 from its various events. Next on the team’s agenda is their golf tournament at Eagle’s Landing on May 10th. Slots are still available at $75 per person or $300 per team. Contact Wes Farragut at 429-7959 for details.
