Mary Alice Bozeman has been named Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer at UT Medical Center. Bozeman has served as the Acting Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer since January 2003. “We are pleased to permanently appoint Mary Alice to our leadership team,” Joseph Landsman, Jr., Executive Vice President of UT Medical Center said. “Mary Alice has done an excellent job as the Acting Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer. She has extensive experience in nursing administration and consistently demonstrates the professionalism, judgment and strategic skills required for this position.”
“The University of Tennessee Medical Center has been an integral part of my life since age 17. I am indeed grateful for this experience and being part of the growth of this organization which means so much to so many,” Bozeman said. “It is a privilege to work with such an exceptional, dedicated staff.”
Bozeman started her career as a staff nurse at UT Medical Center after receiving her diploma at the University of Tennessee Memorial Research Center and Hospital School of Nursing. Since then, she has held positions as Head Nurse, Clinical Supervisor, Clinical Director for Medical Surgical Nursing, and Nursing Director Legal Affairs and Employee Relations.
She is licensed with the Tennessee Board of Nursing and is a member of Tennessee Organization of Nurses Executives.
