The corner of Boyds Creek and Chapman Hwy. was the site of yet another accident at approximately
3:30 p.m. Monday, between a 2001 Gray Dodge Intrepid and a 1999 dark blue Chevy Malibu.
There appeared to be no serious injuries, but traffic was held up while emergency workers cleared the damaged vehicles from the right-of-way
“I was sitting at the red light on Chapman facing south when I saw this gray car fly past me and hit the blue Chevy,” according to Susan Harper of Sevierville.
Lola D. Richards, of Sevierville, the driver of the Dodge, was heading home on Chapman when the accident occurred.
“I just don’t know what happened,” stated Richards.
Mary Louise Thomas was the driver of the Chevrolet.
Responding to the scene was the Sevier County Sheriff’s Department, and the Sevier County Ambulance Authority.
