Compositions mission is to provide art experiences to youth who live in or are visiting this area as we believe that art does enhance life.

If Compositions cancels a class a full refund or credit to another class will be provided.

If you cancel before 20 days before the start of class a refund less $20 will be returned.  If you cancel within 20 days of start: No Refund.
Private lessons may be considered:  $35 per session minimum sign up is for 4 sessions once agreed upon with the parent, teacher and child after evaluating the first session. Material fees may apply.
Students should wear enclosed shoes, bring a smock or apron or wear old clothes. We expect students to be picked up no later than 15 minutes after the end of class.  Snacks, juice or water are welcome.  Materials are provided unless otherwise mentioned.

"Young Picassos" ages 9-11 will meet at Sevierville Intermediate School in the Art room Monday through Thursday 9:00-11:30 Cost: $70

JUNE 11-15 "Meet the Masters" Instrustor:  Beth Watson. Each day we will be looking at an artists work for inspiration to create our own. Various Medias will be used. "Young Vincents" welcome.

JUNE 18-21 "Let's Get Muddy" Instructor:  Beth Watson. We will use various techniques for creating with clay:  pinch, coil, slab and add on. "Young Vincents" welcome.

JUNE 25-28 "Drawing Mania" Instructor:  Beth Watson. Improve your drawing skills daily while working in your own journal as well as on collaborative large drawings.

"12" PLUS ages 12 and older will meet at Sevierville Middle School in the Art room Monday through Thursday 9:00-11:30 Cost: $70

JUNE 11-15 "CLAY"  Instructor:  Karen Byars. Create functional and non-functional pottery pieces, like an ice cream bowl or wall piece. Although this is a handbuilding workshop there will be one potter's wheel available.

JUNE 18-21 "The Mystery of Metal Unveiled" Instructor: Elizabeth Hake, Asheville, NC.  Discover what you can do with metal.  Beginning metalsmithing and jewelry techniques will be used to create small scale sculptures and jewelry pieces.

JUNE 25-28 "Third Blob from the Sun" Instructor: Pat Thomas from The Cliff Dwellers Gallery, Gatlinburg. Learn the history and techniques used around the world as you marble your own creative designs on paper and fabric.

"The Science of ART" Instructor:  Elizabeth Hake, Ashville NC
Assistants:   Sara Carr SCHS, Ariel Jones, GPHS
The focus of this class is to discover the scientific aspects of art.  Students will learn beginning metalsmithing techniques and experience how these processes relate to science.  Students will refer to artists who are inspired by science in their own creative process for inspiration in their own work.
