One of the biggest names in the history of Christian music is coming to this year's Sevier County Fair. Michael Tait, one-third of the of contemporary Christian mega-band dcTalk, will be headlining Young Christian's night at the 2007 Sevier County Fair.

Young Christian's Night at the Fair will be Wednesday, September 5th. The concert will begin at 7:00 pm and is free with the price of admission. Children 12 and under are admitted free of charge.

Tait, one of nine children, was raised in Washington D.C. He attended Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia where he met Toby McKeehan and Kevin Max. Together, the three formed the band dc Talk and have produced numerous hits for both the Christian and mainstream music charts. They have claimed various Gospel Music Association and Grammy awards for such albums as Jesus Freak and Supernatural.

In 2000, the band members decided to take a break from dc Talk to devote themselves to solo projects. Michael formed the band Tait and the group is expected to release their third album, Loveology, later this year.
