As a mismanaged turn resulted in a two car accident, and a third vehicle quickly became involved in the melee Aug. 11.

While traveling northwest on Old Sevierville Pike at about 8:30 p.m.  a white SUV attempted to turn left onto East Nails Creek Rd. and smashed into a dark blue Infinity.

“In my mind the driver wasn’t paying attention when turning,” said Trooper Rod Parton, who responded to the accident. “She was a young driver, so it was most likely caused by inexperience.”

As the two cars collided the impact forced the Infinity into a Chevy Impala that was stopped at a stop sign.

Among the drivers, the two children passengers in the Infinity and an adult passenger in the Impala, Parton reported no injuries.
