Sevier County- Tennessee State Bank announced the recipients of the 2013 Frances Childress Special Friends Scholarship.

The Frances Childress Special Friends Scholarship recognizes a high school senior from local high schools for showing compassion to fellow students with special needs.  The scholarship was established to encourage high school students to develop relationships with their peers who have special needs and to recognize those students who show a similar heart as Childress.

The winners were Christina Talley of Seymour High School, who will be attending Walters State Community College; Katherine Ratcliff of Sevier County High School, who will be attending East Tennessee State University;  and Joseph Dodgen of Pigeon Forge High School, who will be attending the University of Tennessee.
