The Seymour Eagle basketball team put on an exhibition of three point shooting hitting 11 three point shots to give them a blow out win over the Gibbs Eagles by a score of 71-43.
Seymour’s Zach Wyatt hit three of them while Ryan Lee and Isaiah King hit two each.
The win gives Seymour a record of 4-6 overall.
Seymour started fast building a 14-7 lead after the first quarter and 33-17 at halftime. They continued their domination leading 55-33 going into the final quarter.
In the final quarter, Seymour out scored Gibbs 16-10 to give them the runaway win.
“We had a very balanced attack offensively with three guys in double figures,” Seymour coach Tony Buell said. “We really jumped on them early and set the tempo. We had eleven three against them and that always helps.”
Lee led the team in scoring with 16 followed by Wyatt with 13, Devin Stewart 12, King and Ben Knight had eight apiece and Connor Branch had seven.
