For those with organizing family pictures, letters and other memorabilia on their to-do-list it may be a good idea to attend the session, “Managing Photos and Digitizing Items.”
As part of the Focus on Seniors series, Wil Davenport will provide practical tips on how to get started creating participants’ own family legacy on Wednesday, Jan. 24, at 11 a.m., at the Blount County Public Library, a co-sponsor with the Blount County Office on Aging.
Davenport will discuss the various types of storage for digitized items, including some of the cloud storage tools and platforms.
Davenport, founder and Chief Creative Designer of More Than Memories, said he’s “passionate about helping people tell their story so that not only they, but their children and grandchildren can enjoy it.” Specializing in preserving and enhancing slides, printed pictures, home videos, 8 mm and more, Davenport will share how photos, music and stories can be compiled into a digital presentation that will permanently preserve memories.
Davenport will provide examples to help attendees take the first step in the creative process of preserving memories … and a legacy for future generations.
Open to the public, this program is hosted by the Blount County Public Library, located at 508 N. Cusick St., Maryville, where services are an example of tax payer’s dollars put to good use.
