Knoxville IT and data center services provider SH Data Technologies is set to break ground on what is said will be the state of Tennessee’s first high-density Tier three data center.
With this addition, Knoxville will be in the forefront with new business location.
The facility on Summit Ave., The Fort, will be built in a former US military headquarters and will be done in four phases.
“This facility will be the cornerstone of a broader strategy to provide technology solutions with unlimited scale that no one in the East Tennessee region has available,” 9th District County Commissioner Carson Dailey said.
According to its official website, East Tennessee businesses have trusted Smith & Hammaker Office Records Management with storage, shredding and scanning. Branching out from physical records, Smith & Hammaker built a data center in 2010 and started offering IT and colocation services.
SH Data Technologies was born in 2016, with the dream of building the best data center.
