Seymour’s Cross Food Ministry is always looking for ways to help the community while also bringing the locals together in creative and fun ways.
On Friday, March 9, the ministry will be hosting a spaghetti dinner and fundraiser for just that purpose.
The event will include live entertainment, a raffle and a cake auction for a small donation of $10 per person, which will help the food ministry serve residents of Seymour who may otherwise go without. Children younger than the age of five will be admitted for free.
Those who are interested in attending may contact Cross Food Ministry at 579-6192 or see one of the PMBC Cross volunteers for a ticket. Tickets can also be bought at the ministry, located at 406 Boyd’s Creek Highway.
Those who want to help the ministry but are unable to attend the dinner may do so by visiting the website at and making either a monthly pledge or a one time monetary donation.
Donations of canned chili, beef stew, canned meats, peanut butter, cereals, tuna, soup, dry spaghetti, canned spaghetti sauce, canned pasta meals, bags of rice, canned potatoes or yams, canned beans or canned veggies can be dropped off at the Seymour location on Monday-Wednesday from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. or Thursday-Friday from 10 a.m. – noon.
