Upon arrival, officers located a male victim, 51-year-old Michael Crosby, who had been shot. Reports show that the victim was transported by ambulance to the University of Tennessee Medical Center for treatment of what appeared to be life threatening injuries. The victim was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Investigators and forensic technicians responded to the scene and to the hospital and are continuing the investigation at this time, according to reports.
Reports show that a person of interest, 21-year-old Kendall Rivers, has been located and transported to police headquarters for additional questioning. Investigators believe Crosby and Rivers were involved in an ongoing domestic dispute which led to shots being fired.
