SEYMOUR- When Mountain National Bank was acquired by First Tennessee Bank in June, there was an indication that some jobs may be lost in the process. However, according to FTB East Region President Pam Fansler, it will be the termination of branches and not employees that will result in the upcoming changes.
“While we have announced the closure and consolidation of certain financial centers, none of our Retail employees will lose their jobs as a result of that consolidation,” she said. “We will continue to evaluate our overall staffing needs, as we do in our other business locations.”
As FTB continues on with the transition they will keep seven of the nine MNB financial center locations in Sevier County, with Collier Dr. and Newport Hwy. being the ones closed. Additionally, FTB have announced the consolidation of four First Tennessee financial centers in Blount County: Maryville Main, Sky City, and Chilhowee as well as West Maryville, which will be closed in the process. To continue reading, subscribe now!
