Knoxville – For the second straight season, University of Tennessee junior pole vaulter Linda Hadfield has been named to the Capital One Academic All-District III Women’s Track & Field and Cross Country Team, as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America on Thursday.

During his current tenure as the Director of Track & Field at UT, and including his time as the head coach of the women’s program, J.J. Clark has now had 16 individuals earn 27 total academic all-district awards in 11 seasons.

Hadfield, an economics major who maintained a 3.97 grade-point average in 2012-13, is a first team honoree for the second year in a row. A two-time USTFCCCA Academic All-America, she was named the Helen B. Watson Female Scholar of the Year for UT Athletics in 2012.

She will now move on to the national ballot where she’ll attempt to become the program’s 14th all-time Academic All-American. At least one Lady Vol has earned the honor in each of the past six seasons.
